"It is Finished"

Week Six: Jesus’ Death and Resurrection
Day:
27
Pray:
Gracious God, I praise You that because Jesus finished his work on the cross, I am Yours forever.
Read:

John 19: 28-30

28 Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Reflect:

What was "finished" by Jesus on the cross? How has that affected your daily life and struggles?

Apply:
Thank Jesus for finishing his work on the cross and what it means to you.
Pray:
Lord Jesus, help me to live each day overcoming sin and temptation because of Your finished work.
