Prayer Requests for September 2014

SU Friends and Prayer Partners, 

As you join us in prayer for September, we welcome your prayers and notes of encouragement below.

 May God be pleased and honored in all we do.

Sonia Dobson, Northeast Region:  

  • Pray that the number of attendees at the upcoming breakfast in the Northeast Region, this Saturday, September 6 at 9:30AM would increase.

Trish McFillen, Valley Forge:

  • Pray for friends, family and classmates of a local high school senior, took his own life the last week in August. Also pray for the 45 year old mother of 2 teenage boys who is suffering with stage 4 brain and lung cancer.

Bruce Poulterer, Valley Forge:  

  • Pray for the Field Directors as they start to meet churches to talk about our fall PrimeTime and to conduct training.
  • Pray that we will successfully support the volunteer local directors with information to help them as the work with children and that funds will be received for our Field Directors to help them do the ministry.

Sonja Samuel, South Central Region: 

  • Praise God for the children whose lives were touched, for the volunteer hours given and the ministry partners that joined in to show God's love and share the Good News.Praise God for a great SuperKids mission outreach summer. Over 600 kids were reached through 20 different outreaches. 
  • Pray for new ministry PrimeTime after school partners as they make plans and prepare for an awesome year. Pray for council members as they help to support and expand the mission of SU in the south central region.

Michael Staples, SouthEast Region:  

  • Praise God for a child who attended a mini-SuperKids outreach and Son of God movie showing in Auburndale, FL said the movie and our outreach impacted him like no other.  He was deeply touched and knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
  • Pray that PrimeTime will begin at the Lion’s Club in Auburndale in September as planned, along with our tutoring program. Also pray for several churches who are considering how to effectively reach their communities.

Lisa Williams, MidAtlantic Regional Manager: 

  • Praise God for all the children reached through SuperKids this summer—and for the families coming to church because their children received love from caring volunteers!
  • Pray for logistics to be worked out and volunteers for our new PrimeTime WhizKids location in Coatesville as well as for the location in Reading which is going into its 2nd year.
